Hi All,
Just want to introduce myself. My name is Adrian and i'm just about to pick up a 2010 FD SX i30 diesel. Currently have an Alfa Romeo 147 GTA but the time for high powered hot hatches has been paused! Looking forward to some hopefully hassle-free driving for a few years with cheaper maintenance than what I am currently used to :D
A couple of questions:
1. I live in Rosanna (near Ivanhoe, greensborough). Does anyone have recommendations or good, reliable mechanics around the area?
2. I see online that the SX has usb and aux inputs. Some pictures I've seen has it in the centre console but not in the one I'm getting. Does it actually come with these and if so, where are they located?
3. Any tips, tricks or quirks that I should know about?
Thanks in advance,
Adrian

Welcome Adrian,
Congrats on the "new" vehicle. Euro build FD i30's had the USB and Aux inputs in the front console but Aussie delivered cars were built in Korea and the USB and Aux inputs are inside the lidded cubby under the drivers elbow. :victory:

Thanks for the quick reply!
Guess that's what happens when you take a car for a test drive at night
Got a pre purchase inspection so seems all good.

:welcome: Adrian.
You made a great choice for fuss free fun. Feel free to post pictures so we can see what you got and about your concerns. I have the original USB and AUX sockets inside the centre armrest but have recently added a dedicated 3A USB socket to power my phone or tablet between the cigarette lighter sockets to do away with adapters at a cost of $1.23 delivered. PM me if you want to meet up and compare cars. :victory:

Doesn't sound like a bad way to spend $1.23!
Would make more sense to get a USB port front and centre to use a phone as navigation without cables floating everywhere.
I may take you up on that meet up :goodjob2:
