i like the reviews people that dont own an i30 do,its always good.

A well written re-review :)
However, I didn't understand this bit...
One thing that got on our goat was the i30’s steering feel. It almost feels as if there’s some kind of detent holding the steering wheel to dead centre
Nothing like that on Fergie. How about you SLX owners?

I wonder if the author had seen the postings on this site:
"One complaint we had was with the stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, which felt lumpy around the spokes and made holding the rim at nine-and-three almost painful during long drives. Solution? Grab the wheel elsewhere".

I like the steering feel.. I admit the electric power steering does feel different (but the wife's Tiida has it too as far as I'm aware) so I have got used to it...
He's not the first reviewer to say that..

Pretty sure that the reviewer has never driven before a car with electric power steering
