Title: Hyundai Rockingham, bad move
Post by: CraigB on December 01, 2017, 08:03:44
I had my car in at Rockingham Hyundai last week for an interim 4.5 year service and the guy who cleaned the car put three scratches/chips in the tint with his vacuum, two on the drivers door and one on the passenger side.

Anyhow, took the car back to them today for the service manager to look at and to no surprise he tells me they didn’t do it so what would I like to do about it so I told him that I’ll obviously have to take it up with Hyundai Australia if he won’t believe my complaint, then he says ok...your not welcome back here

After telling me that I was fuming  I told him he was a cock head and walked out so it looks like I’ll be putting my complaint to head office on Monday

Oh wow that is terrible, sorry to hear that Craig. No way will I let the dealer wash my car as this is just one of many complaints I have heard.  :disapp:

Never good when your pride and joy gets damage    :blubber:

I think you showed great restraint in ONLY calling him a cockhead.  :goodjob:
Make sure to let Hy Aus know that he said  " dont come back " prior to the name calling.

Something will get sorted, I know it's only my word against theirs with the tint so doubt Hyundai will come to the table there, but I'll be putting my two cents forward about their attitude :spitty:

Really sorry to hear about your shite service (once) again in WA. Hyundai Australia need to wake up and smell the coffee,  You take your pride and joy into to be serviced and looked after by suitably trained individuals who respect you car & its value & importance to you. i.e. Good customer service. you don't expect it to come back with any damage however small. This all affects brand loyalty, repeat sales, warranty claims & Hyundai's profit margin.... :fum: Rant over

Had my chat with Hyundai Australia customer care this morning about Hyundai Rockingham's practices/attitude, as I expected there isn't much that can be done unfortunately as the Service Manager has had his whinge to the dealer principle to get him on side, there was no details on the story given so I can only assume he's been fed just enough details about the instance to keep him happy :disapp: it's my word against theirs and customer loyalty means very little to them apparently so I'll have to be content with my statements here and know that other people are going to read this and hopefully steer clear of this shady dealership.

At least customer care have now documented this issue and any further instances will put them under the microscope.

Give them one star on their service review. Given the bribes they give out to get 5 stars it must hurt.

I would also put in a formal complaint complete with stat dec to the dealer principal. I would be letting them know that the next step is small claims court.

Complaint to the DP is already lodged via Hyundai customer care, DP has already stated he's onside with the service manager  even though DP wasn't even in attendance when I raised the issue with Rockingham service they seem to just blindly go along with what ever they're being told, like mentioned earlier it's my word against theirs and they're never wrong :whistler:...customer satisfaction is at the bottom of the list with this mob so hopefully this topic serves as a warning to Rockingham's customers.

For sure :goodjob: I've had a couple of small rectify jobs done with Rockingham before though that was when Tony was the service manager and he'd get right on it and get things done right, he was much better with people, not like now :disapp:

This is why i still haven't been to the dealership for service. Cant trust the buggers and 'service' is the last thing you receive.

I have now made up my mind that i wont use them after all. Back to my mechanic for 45k service.

I literally just went in for my 60,000km service and the exact same thing happened. They mark the little paper to show any signs of damage, then when you leave any damage after that is deemed there fault. well surely enough my front bar had a ding and the Service Manager was saying it wasn't them. I said look at your F***ing Paper and tell me where it states there is damage here before it went in for service.
They will now be repairing my whole front bar.. i will make sure to check the paint job before i leave to confirm the paint matches, or they have blended it to make it match closely.

I think i will have to find a local mechanic in Western Sydney to service my car, because it seems as though they have Muppets driving the cars who can't judge distance.

Wow! That's a coincidence being another silver 3 door too!  :crazy1:

I was thinking it was the same dealer too (for a while there)  :-[

I had to double check you weren’t talking about the same dealer too
Yeah they also go around the cars here as well taking photos, no photos taken of my interior though
