Title: iPhone audio connectivity and playback

I bought the car just over a year ago and, ever since, I've had the following audio problems using my old iPhone 7 running iOS 10 and my new iPhone X running iOS 11:
• iPod Mode connection: Randomly goes through phases where it will fail to connect with error "Communication Error", regardless of the Lightning cable used.
• Bluetooth connection: Consistently but subtly bad quality and out of tune.

(https://twitter.com/mythofechelon/status/910872303818477568)) but, as one of the problems is intermittent and I'm not sure whether things like this are covered by the warranty, I want to know whether anyone else here has had these problems and, if so, what has been done.
