Title: DRL popped inside bumper...
Post by: MrWB on January 28, 2018, 19:18:26
Yesterday evening was driving on a dual carriageway at 70MPH. A pheasant suddenly dropped into my path, right by the passenger bumper. Totally unavoidable, unfortunately - hit it and it went under the wheel. Feels horrible, but I've played it through in my head over and over and there was no way of avoiding it.

The passenger DRL had popped inside the bumper because of it. I'm not sure how DRLs are secured. Looks like there's a screw onto the black housing in the bumper on the top right that's been popped through, and looks like there's a spinning clip on the bottom left side of the black housing in the bumper. I'm hoping it's a spinning clip, but am worried that it's a broken bit of the light housing... That'd mean potentially needing the black housing and DRL replacing (and hopefully the black housing can be replaced without replacing the whole front bumper!)....

Bunch of comedians aren't thry! I never make fun of such situations.  :whistler:

In these situations it's always a bit of a double whammy (excuse the pun)

Hope nothing is broken and you manage to fix it yourself.
