Went on one of my walks this morning and spotted this new Toyota Camry in the local dealer's yard. Saw it from the back initially and thought it was a Kia Stinger! Huge improvement looks wise over the last version. Too soon for me to swap but I'd probably trade Trish's tourer on a hybrid version if she'd let me.

Why do they always hit the front of them with the ugly stick? Perhaps they should kidnap someone from another company to design the car for them.

Looks better in red or a dark colour. I have a brochure.

Doesn't look to bad, just needs some larger nice rims on it :goodjob2:

The top spec gets 19" wheels.

How many of those are going to be ripped off

Looks like the new civic on front. Designers seem to following this trend lately with aggressive ducts, intake styling, I feel it looks bit tacky & mutton dressed up as lamb. Toyota needed to do something with the styling but maybe need an Italian influence like Alfa or even Fiat :  the rear looks better than before but unfinished & thrown together with previous parts from Camry development bins

Like I said, I think it looks much better in a darker colour like red. Yeah, it's not perfect, but it appeals to me a lot more than the last model looks wise and the interior is better too. A bit plasticky but much more modern than the previous Aussie built one which kept the previous Generation interior. Access and seating were good for me too (better than my Calais was for getting in and out)

I casually mentioned it to Trish and she said. "You just got a new car, you're not getting another one." :snigger:
I said "maybe we could upgrade yours to a new Camry Hybrid."
She said "I'm not swapping from a wagon to a sedan". "You would end up driving my car and I'd end up with yours, no way"
Hands up those with a 2014 tourer who would say no to a brand new SR! :crazy1:
I'm still taking one for a test drive... :whistler:

It does look better in grey, but those two big eyes it has really don't appeal. I know they will be filled with DRL and spot lights in the higher spec models and will probably look better, but the pov pack still should look good in my books.
Oh and the air ducts in the rear really don't look good, or serve a purpose so why have them?
-
Looks like Toyota design staff been watching too many Transformer movies
air ducts must be to reduce coefficient of drag from all the extra plastic appendages.
Nope still not a fan, had Camry & Aurion company cars before and as dull as dish water to drive. :fum:

Some of the Lexus cars I see on our roads seem to have been styled by an origami artist. Ugly isn't a strong enough word to describe them.
The front end of the Camry is awful - but not quite as bad as the current Lexus models
