Title: Updating interior grey trim on door because the color was cracked and now looks
Post by: chris_i30gd on March 03, 2018, 08:38:16: Yesterday I have updated the interior doors of my i30 gd with little vinyl wrap in the bottom of the grey trim of the doors.

My i30 had so many scratches there. This part is very sensitive and easy to scratch. The paint color there is really very thin. Under this grey color it has shiny black surface by the way.

So I have bought this $5 matt vinyl wrap :link: 150cmX30cm Car Matte Color Vinyl Film Wrap Sticker Decal Sale - Banggood.com (https://www.banggood.com/150cmX30cm-Car-Matte-Color-Vinyl-Film-Wrap-Sticker-Decal-p-1089847.html?rmmds=myorder&ID=227&cur_warehouse=CN) and install it easily using using a cutter and heat as mentioned in all video instruction about wrapping.

I send here some images with the result. I have covered the scratches only on the bottom part of the trim till the electric window button.
Professional installer asked me $100 to do it (all the door and all parts) but I think is ok and now as bi tone for $5.

I have also bought and installed exterior shiny chrome wrapping and look ok too using this:

it shines again as new.

(It was not the original i30 chrome line for boot and the wrapping took me 5 minutes to do it.)

Thanks Chris. That's an interesting look. We don't get that trim on any i30 in Australia. :cool:
