Title: polish your car!
Post by: Lakes on January 25, 2010, 21:31:17: :) hi all, was looking at bonnyville speed trials, one guy had an old streamliner with a Flathead Ford V8 ( motor from the mid 30's ) he was trying for 300mph he did 298mph, a guy told him to pollish the car, as its a streemliner that would cut drag enough to increase the speed 2mph. the owner would not beleave him but tried it and it went 300mph.
interesting as the same idea could translate to cars fuel economy and imission output.
i'm thinking about washing Betsy then giving her a wax. :)

I love that place.... You can feel the nitro burners blastin down the track before you even get in the gate lol...

I won a burnout comp there and after that i grabed the guy with the mic and asked my missus in the crowed to Marry me lol.... (I So Romantic) :lol:

when you stand down on the track near the line when two top fuelers blast off it's unreal! you also get teary eyed & high from Nitro Fumes

I love that place.... You can feel the nitro burners blastin down the track before you even get in the gate lol...
