Hi Ric
Great photos! I'm from Sg too but migrated here 5 years ago. I have a Phantom Black too but an Active model (2-litre aspirated). Don't think they sell that model in SG. Got it from Komoco? Must have cost quite a bit compared to cars here. I noticed that the model does not have twin exhaust like the 1.6 turbo SR. But interior looks good without all that red highlights found in the SR model here.

Being a 1.4 Turbo I'm thinking it's probably ex Czech factory. Well spotted! :victory:

I'm liking ricleo's Advan T5 rims more than mine I think :whistler: :blubber: :)

yea they only brought in the 1.4T. How i wish i can get the 1.6 SR model. but thankfully the 1.4T also comes with the multi link suspension.

Australia gets their stock from the Ulsan Factory in Korea. I think they might only make the 1.6 Turbo in Korea and the USA.

Black would have been my 1st choice.. But with the deal I got with my Phoenix Orange (Which was my 2nd pick colour)
I couldn't go past it...
Look really mega in black.. Congrats

Interesting! I haven't seen them over here, made by Bridgestone Japan are they?
You can see below why I thought they were Advan model T5, made by Yokohama and almost identical.

From my experience on here over 10 years there has been some minor differences in quality control between the two factories.
With the series 1 (FD) my gut feeling was the Czech built cars had slightly worse QC (minor things) than the Korean built cars.
By the time Series 2 (GD) came along I think it was the other way.. Paint finish etc.. better on the Czech cars.
Too early to tell on the Series 3 (PD) but I would expect the QC differences to be minor.
Hyundai models released in Australia do have some excellent suspension tweaks done by a local team.

haaa yes the ride will look much nice lowered, but i can't do that over here with the number of high speed bumps and steep slopes i encounter everyday...
new rims will be nice for sure! 18" ? or 19"

Yeah that's the one, looks like its got a black roof so the stripe seems to be just the bonnet is it?
I was only thinking yesterday that a GT stripe might spruce up the look for my little toy as GT stripes seem to be making a comeback, I know it's the wrong car but something like in the picture below running up the middle, front to back., black stripes on silver would look pretty cool I think :undecided:
-
You could wrap your stripe on. :D
-
If you could get the one replicated with that N logo on it Craig that would be neat. Looks better than the one on the Golf in my opinion. But black on silver is the go. A stripe on my red one wouldn't look half as good. :disapp:
-
For a red car you need white stripes :)
(https://preview.ibb.co/fxdpDK/Screenshot_20180822_071756_Google.jpg) (https://ibb.co/hkeJ7e)
-
Oh yeah. That looks ok, don't like the stepped look though. But I see your point. Ironically my 21 y/o daughter reckons my little red hatch is too sporty for a 61 y/o already. :crazy1: (without any stripes) :D
-

I wouldn’t get the N included, I think that might look a bit wannabe :whistler: but there are several different stripe styles that I think could look really smart, can get them done down the road at Tint a Car where I had my tinting done.
Just need to make my mind up which line/stripe configuration would look best :undecided: I quite like the one on the golf though there are many variations, I think preferably in the middle might look nicer too.
White on red looks good :D
-
Just for some inspiration Bumpkin's 1st i30 had a white stripe from the factory I think. Scroll down this thread.

That looks alright too, I don’t know why so many I’ve seen don’t do the lower bumper lip like on Bumpkin’s one there, they didn’t even finish off the top edge of the rear bumper where it meets the hatch :disapp:

a small update to the rear of my hatch :)

I used a gloss black wrap. Less mess n prep and reversible easily :) the other option would be to use plastidip but I prefer the gloss finish

In the Singapore context, the acronym MSCP refers to Multi-Storey Car Park. The photographs were shot at the top level of a MSCP that is meant for use by residents and visitors of HDB (another Singaporean acronym for Housing Development Board) apartments nearby. Or the MSCP could be for commercial buildings too under another govt department.

Where are you getting the custom badges from?
And have you changed your headlamps? Are they 6000K LED?
Pardon me I'm very new to modding and my i30 is still all stock.

Where are you getting the custom badges from?
And have you changed your headlamps? Are they 6000K LED?
