Title: Maldon Victoria.
Post by: mickd on July 24, 2018, 23:45:54
As we are in Bendigo, we went for a drive to Maldon to have look.
Old town,  well kept .

A Mustang snuck in as well.

Spotted this as well.  Owners turned up, quick chat. 10 year resto, 1 of 5 in Aus, the only 1 on the road.

Excellent! Thanks Mick, we were impressed with Maldon too, on our Road trip. In fact, I think I got a picture of a similar period car in my photos as well.  :crazy1:

Thanks mate, Love the old towns. An Austin Somerset was my first car. It cost me 350 pounds (NZ) , second hand !!  Money that I had saved, unlike today's snivelling little sods who demand that their thick parents buy them a brand new car.
Loved the Austin until the crankshaft snapped (common fault). My father gave me 5 quid to buy a new shaft. Them were the good old days.  :happydance:
Well that was great, just  covered a  lot of topics, Cheers Mick.

Beechworth has similar cobbling in the gutter, I think it's really tasteful. Once it warms up a bit, we will head down in the 30 to see how it likes the spirited hill run in. We used to take my XR6, but it hasn't got enough seats anymore.

Beechworth is great! Will be a great drive in a diesel tourer.  :victory:
