Hi all - we're new owners of an i30 here in Sydney, Oz, which we love, but someone purposefully broke our passenger side mirror within a fortnight of us having the car. Just the glass but a nuisance. Is it easy to replace? Anyone know?

welcome aboard. im not sure about the mirror.

welcome.
I recall seeing a video somewhere on youtube I think it was from memory. you need to remove & dismantle complete mirror ( not sure if you can do it with mirror in situ ), they then softened the black plastic mirror glass surrounding with a hair dryer ( a heat gun would work too with caution ) carefully fitting new glass while plastic is soft - does not look that hard - I ( myself ) would be tempted to try it in situ ( being the lazy bugger I am ) and only use a hair dryer as the heat gun would get too hot and possibly cause damage to paint on mirror.

Sorry to hear about your mirror ... think one other member had one broken a long time ago but can't remember if cost or method was discussed (sounds like a visit to the dealer OR do some Googling)
Welcome to our humble club...
