Title: 1987 Hyundai advert in Australian newspaper.

If I remember correctly, Hyundai was first imported to Australia by Alan Bond of America's Cup fame.

I always thought it was John Hughes, or was he just the first to sell them :undecided:

Thanks for that Trevor. In today's money entry level cars are so much more affordable against the average weekly wage!  :cool:

I think you are right Trevor. Alan Bond was the first importer (maybe John Hughes on sold them?)  :undecided:

Even back they had a passing resemblance to the current Corolla of the day.
I guess all manufacturers follow the current thematic of the time.
