Could someone please advise where I would find the housing of chips in the engine bay.

Hi,  welcome,
I have no idea,  but, if you put your model, petrol or  diesel etc,
one of our more knowledgeable may be able to help.

By Chip I guess you mean the ECU, which should be situated behind the battery near firewall.

A word of warning! If you don’t know what an an ECU looks like and you’re not skilled in systems engineering then you shouldn’t even think of playing with it :eek: also most chip upgrades are done via a chip box which generally plug into the engine bay OBD11 port though I don’t know of any one who does these yet for non turbo versions of the i30.
