Just purchased an i30CRDi (officially the wifes car), the last Hyundai I drove was in 1980..something when working as a Mechanic for a Lada/Hyundai dealer (interesting mix I know) in the uk. We took delivery of the first Hyundai pony's in the UK & I had to show them off at the Manchester motor show, ah well they were better than the Lada's : )
Never thought I would own one but they have come a long way & i'm very impressed with the i30 so far.
Cheers
Mark

Welcome Mark
As a Hyundai mechanic, perhaps you can clear up the crucial question - does your i30 have a particulate filter or not (CPF/DPF or whatever you like to call it). What engine is yours?

Hi i30manUK
I'm afraid it was over 20 years ago when I last worked on a Hyundai & we only put filters on the carbs in those days. I changed careers in 87 & became a telco Engineer. In researching the i30 though I did read that all Diesel i30's had a DPF due to strict European emission standards.

Thanks & yes i'm a fellow POM who left Manchester in 91, went to Canada first but it was colder than UK so settled in Oz instead.
