Title: Trim removal in boot area on an i30cw
Post by: swiss_i30cw on March 17, 2010, 00:06:13
I need to access to the electrical harness in the boot area to connect the wiring for a trailer hook. It is not clear to me how to remove the side trim because the screws are covered with a small cover. How to remove this small cover without scratching it.

By the way, there is no need to drill any hole to mount a trailer hook!

I give the answer because I got it at the end.
The small caps on the screws go away if you push on the side with a screwdriver.
The clips can be easily removed with a strong fork that will leave the trim undamaged and the clip reusable.
