It wasn't my first time in Rome nor for my mother and wife, but it was the first time for our one year old daughter though :)
Some months before this trip we: me, wife and daughter conducted a test trip to Kaliningrad, which is only one and a half hour flight from Saint-Petersburg - we needed to know how our little baby would bear the flight and it turned out nice. She slept, for almost the whole flight.
The flight to Rome took 3.5 hour and again it passed almost flawlessly. Upon arrival at the airport in Rome we were directed to a separate line (for passengers with children), that enabled us not to waste time, standing in a long queue before passport control :) :happydance:
With three adults, one infant, pram and bags I ordered a transfer - no rush, no worry, no need to change transports.
Monday: arrival day; we did nothing, just went to a shop
Tuesday: Ostia Antica, old seaport abandoned by its inhabitants in the past. The entrance was free with Rome pass.

Thanks, mates.
Yep, the weather was cool: sun shining all days and cloudless blue sky.
By the way, I mentioned our trip to Kaliningrad in my previous message (it was in December; that was where I celebrated my birthday), so when we entered our room in a hotel we found this:

Wow! How cool is that. I like wall murals. We had a Monet painting as a wall mural in one of our houses back in the 80's!

I don't look half Italian and it is only below the waist that I act like in Italian... :winker:
