Title: Question of CRDI start
Post by: kroner on March 29, 2019, 05:01:38
the manual says to press the start key while holding the break for 5 seconds.
but the car starts up intermediately?

I can't even see the glow plug light.
this is on a cold car.

normal?

We have an FD CRDi and PD petrol, so not much help to you. I turn my key to ignition and wait for my glow plug light to go out, then start the car. Beautiful FD simplicity. :D

I presume some predictive text error but on the push button start think of it as a soft start, that is a program sequence, Foot on brake enables the start, push button , sequence commences and it's all software driven. My i40 starts up as quick as a petrol and comparatively quicker and smoother than my 1st gen FD CRDis.

Oh, yeah, Normal

Yeah I saw the glow plug light today for a second. So fast.
Such a difference coming from the FD
