Hi forum. I'm the 2nd owner of a 2014 i30. First owner bought it without any rear speakers, and i would like to fit a pair to fill out the sound a bit. Any chance there is 'plug and play'? Allready wired to my rear doors? Or do I need a harness? Don't want to remove the panels unless necessary.
I only need my sound to fill the car better, I want the cheapest upgrade possible (within known manufacturers like Sony, JBL, Kenwood and so on)
Any suggestions? Links to EU-seller?
Thanks in advance.

:welcome: merc200,
Well that's a new one for me. Been a "senior" member of this club since its inception 11 years ago and was not aaware of an i30 being sold with only front speakers!; :crazy1:

Were there rear speakers at any stage :undecided: should be able to see the cut outs in the rear doors which would mean the wires should still be in there.
I can recommend the Morel Maximo coax 6 speakers, they're much better sound than the standard speakers and will fit straight in, they'll will run off the factory head unit without needing an amplifier :link: Morel Maximo Coax 6 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com (https://www.crutchfield.com/S-Det680s1y2F/p_210MAXIM6/Morel-Maximo-Coax-6.html)

I dont know if it was a cheaper version of infotainment, I have the normal radio/mp3/bluetooth.
But there are no speakers in the rear doors.
If it was unusual to not have speakers in the rear doors, it must raise the chance that hyundai only has one type of harness ; )
So I could hope that there are unused cables allready there.

Thanks for the advice on the speakers.

If the head unit has a front/rear balance option then the harness will be there, I reckon.

Well, tickle my goats scrotum...... I almost do not want to admit what I found....
....- took my lil 2inch LED-flashlight, for emergencies, that I have in my glovebox, in my car. Figured I could shine the light into the panel at my rear speaker....it sure looked like a simple speaker behind it......so I had to try to locate "fade/balance" on the main unit......surprise, all sound "forward" on "fade"....
Yea, yea, we all do it sometimes, miss the obvious.
Haha, sorry for the inconveniance, and thanks for all the advice.
I'm better with outboard motors than cars, lol
