Hi,
Newbie here so please be kind....
My wife has just taken delivery of the i30 SR. When we connect her iPod touch, using the Hyundai cable, we can see the song playing but we get no sound. Sometimes we get a screeching kind of sound.
When i read the manual, it doens't mention the touch as being compatible... it only mentions 4g, 5g, nano, and a few others.
Does anyone know if the ipod touch works with the i30? Also does it matter if the songs are video clips and not just music? I did try both and had no luck with either.

Welcome to the club... The Sr is a very nice model (enjoy)
I don't use my iphone in the car (or have the correct cable anyway) but some of our friendly members should be able to help...

Hi,
I have an Ipod Touch (2nd Generation) and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the welcome Dazzler.
Ivarella, does your Ipod Touch play the sound from video clips?

Welcome cj. Could be a faulty cable or bad connection, are you able to try the cable with another iPod? Does 'Accessory attached' appear on the Ipod touch screen? My 1G touch plays music and charges fine, playing video seems to be hit and miss - I think it depends how the files are encoded.

Never tried.
When I get my car back and I hope it's tomorrow I will test and post the result here.

I tried to play a video on Ipod Touch but as soon as I connected the Ipod to the radio, it blocked it and I couldn't play it, I tried to navigate through the radio and I couldn't find the video file to play.
