Hi everyone
My 1st post to this forum and I need HELP!
Recently purchased a 2014 1.6 petrol auto and when you engage reverse gear there is rattling/grinding noise. I have taken back to the main dealer several times and they acknowledge there is a noise but cannot identify what is causing it and asked me to take it back if gets louder! My main concern is that the Hyundai warranty expires in under four months and it may need a new gearbox?
Has anyone else had this problem - what could it be?

Take it back now and tell them to fix it.
If they can hear a noise the should be able to identify and fix it.

Hi everyone
rattling/grinding noise.

Yes, many members have this problem.
The noise is a dealer scuttling for cover.
As above, take it back NOW.

:welcome: Sorry to hear of your less than stellar experience with your "new" i30
:wts: If they can't identify or fix it now and it still operates ok at the very least get a written undertaking that they acknowledge the noise and will fix it FOC within or outside the manufacturer's warranty period.
Fingers crossed it gets sorted to your satisfaction soon. :fingers:
