Title: Rambling Rose

Thought I'd share a story from my younger days...When I was sowing some wild oats.. :wink:

I took  this nice Lady out to dinner for the first time. Later we went on to a show. The evening was a huge success and as I drop her at her door I said 'I have had a lovely time. You looked so beautiful, you remind me of a beautiful rambling rose. May I call on you tomorrow?' :mrgreen:


She agrees and a date is made. The next night I knock on her door and when she opens it she slaps me hard across the face. Obviously I'm stunned.  :eek:


'What was that for?' I asked. :rolleyes:

She said 'I looked up rambling rose in the encyclopedia last night and it said 'Not well suited to bedding but is excellent for r**ting up against a garden wall'  :lol:

I never used that turn of phrase again... :-[

Geez I'm glad I didn't call her that.. she'd still be "hanging around..." :lol:
