Post by: Edition on April 04, 2010, 20:23:46
Hi All,

Im in the process of buying a new i30 at the moment but was wondering if the UK dealers through in the ipod cable for free? I heard standard cables dont work and you need a special hyundai cable.

Hi there,

I'm awaiting delivery of a new i30 and believe that the iPod cable is included as standard.

Regards
Andy

Hi Orabas, welcome to the forums :)

<----  Fergie is just over 2 years old and we got an ipod cable included. I doubt whether the spec has changed in 2 years to exclude the cable; more recent owners like Andy (above) and Lorian (below) will let you know.

Ok good to hear, thanks for the speedy responses.

Im waiting to place my order at the mo. The new 2011 version came out on the 1st April but hyundai cant place orders for them yet (was at dealership at weekend). They can only place orders for the edition models.

Not sure if you all know this but the 2011 model will come with 5 years RAC breakdown cover instead of 1 however every model will recieve a £600 price increase.

... the 2011 model will come with 5 years RAC breakdown cover ...

I hope that's not indicative of their faith in the 2011 models reliability

There is some new marketing term for the 5 year "care package" but I forget what it is. I think its probably on all hyundai models. Didn't realise there was another price hike though. It's more likely to be designated 2010.5 I think.

May have to upgrade cover as it may have restrictions as to use and cover

Welcome to the club Orabas... 600 pounds is a hefty increase.. If they gave the option I would decline the roadside assistance and keep the 600 pounds..

Over here in Australia there is currently a tendancy for prices to come down (due to our good exchange rate at the moment I think)  :D

hey, thanks.

The £600 isnt just for the breakdown cover. The new car is getting the same body kit as the i30 edition model (apart from the bumber) which costs £700 more than the comfort model here in the UK. I believe they are making fog lights standard now as well.
