Title: Dynamic Speed Dependent Volume
Post by: The Gonz on June 07, 2019, 09:52:52
I recall when Firty was new that I read about how the sound system had a menu setting to raise its volume with speed, as a rough way of compensating for road and wind noise.

Well I also recall it was deemed pretty much useless. How about a schematic and photos of the circuit involved? If the logic is basic enough, perhaps I'll have a go at introducing an inline amp or minor voltage clamp to improve the outcome.

Any help?

With volume controls on the wheel isn't it easy enough to just adjust it up and down manually as required?

Nice idea though.  :goodjob:

I also recall my SDVC was useless in the 2014 GD CRDi. Didn't seem to make a half'pennys bit of difference.

Same now in my Ioniq - it just doesn't seem to do anything.
