Title: electronic throttle control in i30 ?
Post by: myar on April 12, 2010, 02:31:07
mine is i30 sx petrol 2010 model at melbourne australia, i suppose that other models would have the same acceleration system.

anyone knows if the acceleration uses electronic throttle control?
if it is, any pros and cons, any issue so far?

thanks again.

I *think* they all are.

On my diesel if I press the brake it cuts the power, and that seems to be a sensible over-ride if there are aby sensor issues.

I know at least one member has had a sticky pot replaced under warranty as it was sending some odd signals back to the ECU.

The diesel at least does have electronic throttle control. It is very smooth and works very well. As a side effect, the cruise control is one of the best around.
