GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => GENERAL => Topic started by: babis_xo on April 15, 2010, 11:15:43

My dealer informed me that after removing the rear suspension springs, he discovered that they are 1,5 cm shorter than the normal length. So, he ordered a new set of proper ones, for my 2009 Czech model.
I'm waiting to call me back, so i can have them replaced (a guarantee job of course).
Anybody heard something similar?
(I even suspect that the "shorter" springs is not an issue but a "tweak" for Czech models?)

Czech-made Blue Drive models have slightly lowered suspension to reduce the air resistance. Maybe you car has those?
Why did the dealer disassemble the rear suspension? Some fault in so new car?

Thanks for the info penak.
Rear suspension disassempled, due to strange noise from the rear when the car was turning left

You'd have to take them off to put the new plastic boots on.

Exactly

Rear springs replaced.
Bump-stops replaced.
Strange noise vanished.
