I have (non-genuine) floor mats and although they are screwed in, they still manage to unhook and slide forward. It's bloody annoying.
Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening? Only happens on drivers side. Passenger side doesn't budge...then again, no one really sits there.

Try attaching velco to mat and floor carpet

Also dangerous. Especially if it bunches up under the brake or accelerator pedal... :undecided:

buy genuine mats.
They don't last forever though. and cost $$$

That’s why I didn’t buy genuine.

Does anyone know if proper Hyundai screws would make a difference or would I need new mats?

Hi Vanessa,
Do the ones that came with your mats keep pulling out. I don't know how different they are but my genuine mats were fitted before I took delivery and never moved in the two years + I had the car. I doubt you'd be able to get the screws separately. :undecided:

I'm using a cheap rubber one from Kmart. Make a tiny hole to fit the existing lock on the car. It sits there still

OK so I asked about the mats during my last service. As they are non-genuine, they really can't do anything, but apparently the clips are "broken". I asked about legit floor mats and was quoted close to $170. All I need are new screws. There is nothing wrong with the mats themselves.
Any suggestions on how to get new screws?

Somebody may be able to find something suitable on Ebay or a wreckers yard would be another option. Would not have to be an i30, probably all Hyundai and Kia mat securing scrwws would be the same.

The genuine mats don't come with screws they are push fit on to the posts.

At that price worth a try. Look a bit big. Shame i don't live closer I'm sure I'd be able to modify your mats to work with them...
