A San Francisco-area police department says it still has full faith in a pilot program to use a Tesla electric patrol car, even though the vehicle reportedly ran low on power last week during a pursuit.
the electric vehicle warned that it had only 6 miles of battery life left and that he may not be able to continue in the chase.

I know it's a relatively 'smart' car but calling it a 'he' is going too far! :crazy1:

I can't really see the problem.
Every Police chase I've seen from the USA there are many police cars involved sometime up to a dozen... :crazy2:
So if one were to run out of Battery or fuel it wouldn't make a lot of difference.
