Title: Delivery date confirmed
Post by: FixedR6 on April 23, 2010, 03:39:52: Deposit paid on March 13th, and just had a call to say it will be ready for pickup next Friday.

7 weeks turn around, pretty standard. Now I can get a little bit excited :D

2010 I30 WG SLX DIESEL AUT.
+Bluetooth
+iPod cable
+Mudflaps

Took out dealer supplied paint protection and window tint.

Think I got an OK price.

Post by: Dazzler on April 23, 2010, 12:29:08: Pity you got the paint protection (bit of a rip off in most members opinion) If you can swap that for some floor mats and a spoiler you would be getting better value...(or maybe a towbar)

If you search paint protection there are a few threads on here somewhere discussin the pro (and mainly the cons)

Sorry not being negative..It is just that the Korean made i30 appears to have a reasonable quality paint finish and good corrosion protection the Dealers push the paint protection to maximise their profit margin .. with little or no benefit to the owner.. (It depends on how much extra they charged for it, I'm guessing quite a few hundred dollars)

I've had to wait the same amount of time for my i30cw sx petrol arriving tomorrow (had no car due to hail storm). Bloody excited!!!!! Thought the day was never gonna come.
