Title: reverse light globe upgrade.
Post by: 2i30s on April 25, 2010, 11:40:42: I've found my reverse lights to be a little weak,is it possable to upgrade the globes to a slightly higher wattage and has anyone changed a globe to know what the stock globe wattage is.?

Hey 2i30's,

I was just searching the site for exactly what you asked over 2 years ago and wondered if you came up with a fix to the dull reverse lights. brighter reverse lights would be great especially in our (normal) Melbourne winter we are having. I have looked into the the T10 Wedge LED replacement globes??

Post by: Ultralights on July 05, 2012, 02:24:18: i always thought of the reversing light as more of an indicator to other drivers that you are going backwards, reversoing out of say a parking spot. no so much as a light to see where your going

I've never heard of those before - what a splendid idea. Do they beep-beep-beep or perform a single continuous tone?

beep - beep - beep....illegal except on a truck but I use them on my caravan wired through a relay connected to the rear lights so lights off .......beep - beep - beep. ....... lights on no beep.

The link was to show the bulb but that price is expensive. At my local boot sale they are £2.50 and I've seen them in auto shops at £5 or so. Fleabay must have them.
