Hey 2i30's,
I was just searching the site for exactly what you asked over 2 years ago and wondered if you came up with a fix to the dull reverse lights. brighter reverse lights would be great especially in our (normal) Melbourne winter we are having. I have looked into the the T10 Wedge LED replacement globes??
Cheers Dogga.

I've not done a thing mate, still the same problem. :disapp: i was hoping someone had a bright idea, so to speak.

Well I'm going to give the LED replacments a go and will post back. :D

Isn't "reverse light globe upgrade" some kind of downgrade? :whistler:

Only if your car is upside down I think. :undecided:
-
i always thought of the reversing light as more of an indicator to other drivers that you are going backwards, reversoing out of say a parking spot. no so much as a light to see where your going

I have some 20 watt halogen bulbs with the same base fitting which seem brighter than the standard tungsten filament. They also have reversing bleepers incorporated which can be removed if not wanted.

I've never heard of those before - what a splendid idea. Do they beep-beep-beep or perform a single continuous tone?
-
I like those too especially as my Hybrid makes no noise in reverse (usually running on the electric motor only) :goodjob:

beep - beep - beep....illegal except on a truck but I use them on my caravan wired through a relay connected to the rear lights so lights off .......beep - beep - beep. ....... lights on no beep.
The link was to show the bulb but that price is expensive. At my local boot sale they are £2.50 and I've seen them in auto shops at £5 or so. Fleabay must have them.
