Post by: bumpkin on April 28, 2010, 21:49:53: I wouldn't touch Norton or Macafee with a ten foot pole, everybody I know who has asked my advice has been told Kaspersky.

Even better for me is the University site licence extending to staff home PC's, allowing me to use Sophos.

Post by: Surferdude on April 29, 2010, 00:25:00: I used Norton for a few years, then McAfee which was better (but each year when the new versions come out, the performance changes - not always for the better)
So I have now moved to Kaspersky for all three computers in our home and am so far very happy. Kaspersky certainly lets the computer start up more quickly and I find it more user friendly.
