Title: parking sensor advice
Post by: sn on January 03, 2020, 07:12:51
Our 2013 GD Wagon has the oem 4 x rear parking sensors, but none fitted to the front.

Anyone know if the rear and front sensors are the same and more importantly - readily available?

If not - is there any such thing as an aftermarket sensor that is "plug and play"?

I am assuming that the loom is already set up to take the optional front sensors

tia.

[I did a search - but couldn't find any firm answers]

Would these be the ones??
listed for Hyundai - but no mention of front / rear, or which particular model Hyundai made where or when...

The ix35 had front sensors in 2012. Seem to be a factory after thought because not on Handbook.

Interesting. I've seen and  heard of some pretty dodgy front sensor systems. I paid for front sensors on my SR but ended up getting 2 free services as the front sensors on their demo were crap. Way too sensitive. Detecting cars passing through roundabouts etc..
