Title: Current model (2019) Toyota Corolla Hybrid.
Post by: Dazzler on January 30, 2020, 10:30:52
Just done 1350 kilometres in 13 days in a Corolla Hybrid rental car. Being a bit of a hybrid fan, must say I enjoyed it a lot more than the non hybrid version I have previously rented. More responsive and quieter and obviously better on fuel too. Used 66.6 litres to do 1352 kilometres which I calculated at around 4.9 L/100 kilometres.  Not much better than my Camry Hybrid although I was using Aircon Flat out and often when parked as well.

I was going to get an i30 go which I consider better than the new Corolla but like trying different vehicles and probably recouped about $50 of the extra $78 Rental cost in fuel savings.

Auto cruise works a lot better in the Hybrid too. (It would want to)

I'm going to upgrade at the end of this year and I might go for Rav4 Hybrid as my family's size is growing.

They've got pretty much the same drive train as my 2019 Camry Hybrid apparently it is worth the little bit extra to get the model with the small additional electric motor driving the rear wheels.  :victory:
