I have a 2013 GD i30 premium which is exhibiting intermittent behaviour on the driver side button lock / unlock process.  Using the key fob to lock / unlock is fine and the car recognizes the key fob when approaching ( mirrors move ) just the button on the driver side door sometimes ( now most times ) doesn't work as it used to.  The passenger side button seems to work aok.

Now that it is out of warranty I was wondering if there was going to be a cheap way to repair it - taking it to a dealer is an over $500 dollar job as with the above link they have to replace the entire door handle and repaint it.

Is there an alternative - is there a place where I could buy the part and fit in myself or get it from a wrecker ??
