Hi,
Can anyone who has a genuine Hyundai towbar fitted to their i30 kindly post a clear photo of their towbar that shows:-
*where the harness mounts onto the car ie. is the harness mounted to the towbar or by drilling into the bodywork?
*whether or not the bodywork needs to be cut to allow towbar fitting.
I am hoping that buy shelling out the top-price for an original towbar that nothing needs to be cut, sliced or diced.
Thanks, all.
Regards,

Here's a couple of photos for you to look at.
Note the small cutout that needs to be made in the plastic bumper. This is minimal. The bumper needs to be removed when the towbar is fitted. Best done by the dealer. We had small paint chips on the bumber in the upper corners as a result and they were respayed under warranty.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for that!
The Hayman-Reese towbar for the i30 also involves some cutting.
Cheers,
Paolo
