Title: Hyundai I30 2013 disc sticking

I had front nearside disk pads sticking on, I had a full brake service and new pads fitted to the front all initially ok but now on occasions the front nearside is getting hot it appears that the disc pads are not fully retracting so causing heat, don't know if it could be a caliper problem or a brake pressure retension issue has anyone had a similar problem

I'd start by checking/greasing the glide bolts - need special high temp grease.

Welcome Chris. Issues like that with brakes seem to be a lot more prevalent over there due to your salted roads causing corrosion than in a place like Australia with no need for salted roads and much drier conditions. So as Lorian suggests regular cleaning and lubrication is highly recommended.  :cool:

Plus 2 for seized caliper pins. Check and service the lot

Had two calipers replaced under warranty. Never had this on a non-Hyundai vehicle before... :rolleyes:
