Title: Trim replacement - unsure??
Post by: thered85 on February 15, 2020, 07:29:47
Hi all
Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get the exterior trim of windows and roof (where roof rack connection points are). Images are attached. Over time the sun has battered down on it and have just noticed that passenger side is now starting to peel away. Want replacement strips so underneath does not rust.
Thanks

and this is full set, pretty good deal really  considering it's internationally posted. I would not even bother with the dealer, or at least be seated when they quote you.

Correct WA

OK, wasn't too sure. Would've looked horrible if started to rust.

Thanks for the Part numbers and was looking for hours trying to find this information.

Thanks all, much appreciated. The overall cost for replacing all 6x strips was a bit more than what I initially had on my mind.
I may just leave it for now. When they all chip away and it they look horrible will definitely replace.
Knew this was the right place to ask this question!!  :goodjob2: :goodjob:

Yeah, you're about 6 - 12months away from them being totally shit. For the doors that's cheap not sure what you were expecting , new genuine. For the roof thought, yeah and from korea probably worse because of th edimensions. Those door parts though work out to be $12-15 each in Korea. So $60 plus $60 postage likely saving $200 odd dollars bypassing the dealerships.

There's no other options really for a 10 + year old model, they'll all be stuffed unless they've been garaged .

If @thered85 can wait until I get back over there in July for Dad's 98th Birthday I would be prepared to help mask and spray.  :goodjob:

Mind you it would have to be a quick job (I am busy when I'm over there aren't I) @CraigB and @Doggie 1  :whistler:

Extremely busy :crazy2: :D

I’d probably paint those trim bits also if mine ever did the same.
