Hello,
I'm installing nice speakers and a simple class D amp (Alpine KTP-445U - :link: Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack Compact 4-channel car amplifier ? 45 watts RMS X 4 at Crutchfield (https://www.crutchfield.com/S-bDQZbM3NGaF/p_500KTP445U/Alpine-KTP-445U-Power-Pack.html)). I'd like to figure out whether my 2009 i30 has an external amp without tearing apart the trunk.
I see that there are two types, the P-710 and the P-760. According to these diagrams, it looks like the P-760 has a "REMOTE E AMP" pin, which I assume implies there's an external amp for the P-760.
The diagram of the P-710:

The diagram of the P-760:

Here's the tag on my radio unit:

The strange thing is that the front of my unit looks exactly the same as in the diagrams, but the back is upside-down.
Does anyone know a quick and easy way of knowing if I have an external amp?

Well folks, I took the back-right of the car apart and found that there is no amplifier:
