MOTs extended for six months
There's some good news for drivers in the UK. Drivers are to receive a six-month extension to annual tests of a car's roadworthiness.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps says MOTs due for renewal from 30 March will be extended for half a year due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Mr Shapps said on Twitter that drivers must still keep their cars safe and that garages would remain open for any repairs.

Given the circumstances I'm granting an MOT temporary exemption so that if your MOT is due from 30th March 2020 you will automatically receive a SIX-month extension. However, you must still keep your car in a roadworthy condition and garages will remain open if you need repairs.

I think from what Brian said, the recycle centres have been closed down.

Here the drive in tips are closed but bins are still being collected at the kerb side, for now anyway, but that may change depending staff availability.
