Title: Buzzing in door lock
Post by: Kezkelly on May 09, 2020, 05:00:10
Hi all, my first post and I think this is a common problem, but is there a quick way to fix the buzzing in the door lock.

Hi, welcome. Just so you get better advice, how about you describe your car's model, age, etc?
On the whole, it's either a warranty job if new enough or a refurbishment or replacement of the locking mechanism if it's as old as I'm guessing.

Thanks Gonz. I did put in 2009 Hyundai i30, but showed up in separate section.  Yes hoping to fix without spending more money but perhaps not.

If the buzzing sounds like grinding noise after the door locks, it's likely the deadlock feature. These lock in 2 stages. Replace the lock assembly, it's all plastic gears and impossible to pull apart without cracking the case
