I bought a secondhand roof rack for our 5 door hatchback Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel 2013 - I'm after some advice on fitting them.
The seller, who also has the same car said the roof rack was never installed on their car so they can't help with the installation.
It came with a set of screws with yellow handles (as can be seen from the images) but I'm not sure if these can be just screwed into the fixed points without any washers?
Am I missing any fittings?

By the look of it , yes.
Fitted a Hy set to our Kona, screwed in to threaded hole.
Did have a soft rubber bit between rail and bottom of rack mount.

Yes it does have a rubber mounting.
So I don't need any other fittings i.e. washers, bits that go into the fixed points?

Also, after trying to fit these I realised two screws are shorter?

I would experiment by screwing the bolts into the sockets by hand without the rack hardware in place. You'll be able to feel if they tighten up before they punch a hole in anything. It'll also show you which ones go front or rear.
Also, polish the roof under where the pads sit. That will reduce the risk of paint damage through miniscule movement (flexing) when the racks are in use.

Its correct the mounts don't use washers.
I see a little rust on those bolts - check the very left one - it is just surface rust?
Not sure I'd carry a bike or anything approaching maximum weight.
I'd WD40 the threads if leaving on for any period of time, maybe even a little light grease.
Remember with this sort of mount check they are still tight once you have load on the roof rack, as the rubber will sit a little under the weight. Tight does not mean two handed tight.....
