Hi folks, just picked up a 2016 i30 Active X. I’m hoping it can be friends with the 2018 Tucson Active X.
I’ve already had a snoop around the forum & decided to register as there is a ton of useful info.
The i30 only has 14000 km on it and was owned by an elderly couple. I was so disappointed when I found it doesn’t have apple CarPlay. It has had all It’s logbook servicing done by Hyundai & they have never upgraded the firmware on the GD-03.
So my weekend will Consist of a full covid clean and detail, followed by hours of frustration trying to figure out the firmwareinstall. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200610/3174eaaea6511b0c8db788e01ddae5a2.jpg)
Cheers

:welcome: Mister Warby,
You'll have to take them to task or update it yourself! :goodjob:

Thanks for the welcome guys, seems like a pretty useful forum.
Since the car is new to me & checking the service history I’m about a month off a service.
Time to introduce her to the local dealership and empty my walllet.
Trying to find a valid link for firmware seems to be more troublesome than it is worth. What will take me a weekend they will have done in 10 minutes.....

Download links in the first post should still work :undecided: :link: Cartronics TL-01 DM-01 AD-01 FS-02 GD-03 GD-04 v2.05.10 Firmware (Dec 11, 2018) (https://i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=52444.msg475481#msg475481)
If not they're also on MEGA :link: MEGA (https://mega.nz/file/4VNS1CBC#TDtyBj-i0walRinImFxvqR2U9YLgyPwrU5hdx96FhMM)

I've never personally had the need to do it, but sometimes apparently you have to apply the update twice (if all features don't work properly ther first time). That's right isn't it @CraigB ?

Correct :goodjob2: also make sure to initialise the system once the update has completed.
