Just joined as I now have a i30 N-Line. Great little car. My problem is that less than 6 months into ownership, the red piping on the seat bolsters is wearing through. I've been extra careful getting in but it does not seem to make a difference. I have been back to the dealer & am waiting for an answer.
Wondering if this is a common problem & if so how has this been resolved by the dealer / company?

Not to good if it's wearing already :disapp: I haven't seen that issue mentioned on the forum before.
If it's deemed a fault Hyundai will order a new seat cover under warranty.

Welcome, Sorry to hear that. I guess your user name does beg tbe question are you a bigger guy? Not that they can use that against you particularly these days, as thing have to be of merchantable quality and suit all shapes and sizes. I do recall another member with a bigger build having a bit of a fight on his hands about door rubber wear in his series 1 (2010) model.
My memory surprises me at times I also seem to recall another member a year or two ogo who had warm start and seat wear issues in his 2017 SR (the predecessor to your N -line) He actually had a rare lemon and bailed out of it.
From my experience these sorts of claims seem to depend a lot on the individual dealer and how supportive they are of the customer's complaint. While final approval of the warranty repair rests with Hyundai a supportive dealer can often get even borderline claims through. Not saying this is borderline being that your car is only 6 months old.
Can you possibly post a photo so we can see how bad it is. I had a well used 66,000 kilometre 2017 SR for around 28 months (with pretty much the same seats) but mine had seat covers on for most of the time so very little seat wear.
Anyway hopefully it will just be repaired and everything will be fine. :Good_luck:

Hmm... interesting... I got my N-Line late Jan20... and I am not small. Will have to look.

Just went and checked mine. No wear so far. Mine has only done 3000 klicks, and so far there haven't been many passengers. I got mine on the 27th of Feb, and for about 2 months during lockdown it did a grand total of about 150ks. Will keep an eye on it though.
Would be interested to hear what the dealer says... which dealer BTW?
