GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => GENERAL => Topic started by: nuttzo40 on July 19, 2020, 08:56:50

Hi everyone, having just bought a 2010 i30 I'm having an issue with the power window buttons, all the buttons on the drivers side work except for the front passenger one which will only go down and not up.
Today my friend in the front passenger seat put his window down using the passenger button but the window would not come back up despite the switch working previously.
After a few minutes I managed to get it up, can these switches be cleaned with something or taken apart and fixed easily?
Also if one I need new switches they are as cheap as 20-30 dollars on aloexpress,I assume these are junk, has anybody used these cheap ones before?
Thanks from a first time poster.

This seems cheap and I'd expect it to be the same quality as the 'genuine' dealer stuff. Just be sure you get the one to match the side of the road on which you drive:

Took a gamble and purchased a RHD master switch from AliExpress for $40.

Fingers crossed for you. You need some good fortune after that other issue.

I finally got the switch and installed it,the quality of the switch is reasonable but not as good as the factory one.
Overall it does the job though time will tell.
