Title: 2.0 crdi boost pressure?
Post by: br90 on July 25, 2020, 22:40:21
Hi there,

I actually own a 2008 Kia Ceed 2.0 crdi but I know the i30 and some other hyundai models were fitted with the same engine.

Does anybody know what the standard boost pressure is on the 140bhp version of this engine? mine is peaking around 22.5 psi which it will hold between 1800-3000rpm when on wide open throttle.

I just want to see if this has already been remapped or not as I contacted one remapped who said the standard boost pressure for this engine was between 18 and 20 psi.

Welcome.

The i30 was only mainly sold in UK with the 2.0 CRDi engine in the early series 1 (FD) model for maybe 12 months at the most. Being that these cars are now 12 years or more old and we only ever had a handful of active members with them, the chances of any owner responses is very unlikely but fingers crossed.  :fingers:
