A great deal for Hyundai UK.
Tony Whitehorn, you owe me a pint :P
-
Gr8 news .. the CRDi is an easy car to drive too
It is a huge win for Hyundai because a certain amount of young drivers would have to be suitably impressed by their driving experience to buy a Hyundai or even an i30 going forward...

The MK1 was produced from 1968-1975 suffix F-M

MKIV 1986 - 1990 prefix E-H

First. Thanks for making me younger, made my day, but I past my test in 1970 so that would be mk1.
Had to do hand signals as part of the test.
No not the 1 finger signals but turn left, right and straight on.
-
That was what I thought, it was "new shape" which threw me, what you should have said was original shape
Happy memories of Roger Clark beating the MK1 to death around the British forests come flooding back :D :D

Thats great news

LOL eye30 were your hand signals like the ones mom and dad had to use back home (zimbabwe) where you flap your hand for slowing down, arm straight out and finger pointing for right, arm straight out and hand rotating counter clockwise for left, "flapping" your arm for slowing down??? LOL
when we were back home a few of the "locals" were using hand signals still... but 99.9999% of the time it was chaos LOL

Spot on
A few weeks ago I was on a road which had just been closed due to an incident.
The Policeman on duty was stood at the X roads directing traffic left and right.
I automatically gave an internal hand signal, as opposed to hand out of the window, that I wanted to turn left - right arm bent left across chest, hand open flat on chest.
He just looked at me perplexed.

To be honest I don't think he knew what that signal was.
Good job I didn't give him a straight on as I think I was saying "How"!

Even though I learnt in 1987, many years after the orange indicator signals became standard, it was still part of the UK test to learn and understand the hand signals :D :D
