Dear Freinds,

Just probably a stupid question.

Our i30 (built 2014.08) is equipped with satnav radio system. Is it possible to upgrade to that version which is handling the Apple car play and Android auto?
What is the difference between the two unit? Is it only frimware or a hardware difference as well?
If it is only a firmware difference, are there any chance to find the new firmware and upgrade it at home via USB?

I guess that the two units are quite different and a firmware upgrade will not work.

You could of course dig deep into your savings and install a new third party head unit with those functions

I doubt very much it would be as simple as a firmware update. That would be too easy..
