Title: Engine light on and car shaking (intermittently)

My i30 sr premium 2017 recently saw an engine light go on. At lower gears and RPM the car shakes upon accelerating. When i add more gas, the car engine light tends to disappear again and the car feels normal.

After taking it to the dealership, no fault was found. They blamed my aftermarket AEM air intake but I highly doubt that would be the problem.

I've done some digging and possible reasons for this fault might be a faulty coil ignition or spark plug.

Can someone please help/confirm this issue?

Did the engine light come on soon after changing the intake or has it been installed for some time? I can only suggest disconnecting the battery for an hour to allow the ECU to reset.

I wouldn't expect a coil or plug to faulty at only 3 years old :undecided: though it can happen.
