Finding a dark shadow just at eye level when on full beam, I'm a driving instructor a d the students often say they can't see well when on our dark drives.

Adjust the lights one notch down.

Not sure going down one notch will help - is it a dark patch dead centre right between the beams?

drive up to a wall about 6 feet away and post a photo? - it could be a lateral alignment issue.
