Title: My Elantra Touring
Post by: Thrais on June 14, 2010, 03:59:58
Hi everyone, and thanks for the friendly welcome in the 'Introduction thread'!

Took some photos today, in the Costco parking lot [after they closed] - It is usually madness when they're open.

I gave my car it's first wash (by hand) since I picked it up in April.
I've done quite a few drive-through washes (both cloth and touchless) and they look 'meh'

It wasn't a proper wash, as I missed a sale at... Costco on carwash soap and a spray-er.
So I used a secret solution. [Let's just say there is a hint of bergamot scent around it haha]. But here they are.

One thing I noticed is that differentiates the North American cars from the i30 CW is the placement of the front and rear side markers / signal lights. Mine are on the front and lower bumper. There is also heavy chrome-age, which I have mixed feelings on haha. Anyways, here are the pics.

Width = 850px Hope I didn't go too big for any netbook users out there.

It's GLS trim in Carbon Grey Mist. Ha ha I guess I took some creative freedoms in Adobe Lightroom with the white balance :-[

Those are the side markers and come on I think with the day-time lights...
I noticed the front ones are only on the North American i30cw / Touring.
I kinda like the curved LED side markers that some of the moded Korean cars have. Found them eBay here:

But theres no way I can do two side-markers on my front haha, that would just be soo tacky!
