Title: oz i30 with black head lights.
Post by: 2i30s on June 29, 2010, 01:57:24
i had to go to my dealers this morning with the father in law to have his car serviced [he cant speek english very well] and as i glanced into the fore court of the display area i noticed a cw with black headlights and black SLX snow flake alloys on it. the Vin tag on the windscreen started with a K so its a Korean model. it looked like it was an SLX with all of the usual bits. i asked the salesman who sold us our cars about it and he told me,  that's how they are now,i think.  it was the only one in the yard that i could see that was like that. i will post some pics up later when the wife gets home as I'm not sure how to retrieve them from my mobile phone to the computer, damn computers.!!!   :P

You mean alloys like mine?
I have the clear lights though not black.

Or is this just the cw?

Are the wheels black? They look same as my 09 slx.

And I know calling them snowflakes was hearsay but snow crystals have a base of six "spokes" not five. Oh, well... the headlights look good.  :D

if you look closely at the top pic, look at the car on the left ,and compare the rims,i know there isn't much to see but they are black when your actually standing next to them.i actually thought when i first saw them that it was brake dust on them.   and here's  something i just noticed , the roof bars are color coded.

other than the rims, lights and color coded roof bars it looked like a normal i30 cw.the badge on the rear looked like a normal crdi one.the interior even looked as per aus i30.

Interesting...still deciding whether I like it or not. The headlights don't match the fog lights now...

Hey, I just picked up my i30 yesterday its an slx crdi.

The rims match the paint and I didn't notice the headlights, but they seem to be dark like the ones you showed.

I'm amazed that our dealers know less than what we do about our cars, amazed.   i mentioned the black headlights on an i30 meant it was a chech model and they looked at me funny. so now Korean built i30s are getting the black headlights,

An internationally recognised abbreviation for Austria would be AUT, where Australia is AUS.

the mystery is solved surrounding the black rims and headlights, its called an i30 trophy edition and its only a limited edition in Australia. i heard an add about it on the radio a couple of times during the week.
